During more than 50 years of ministry, balancing pastoral, teaching, and family duties often left me seeking a peaceful, restful place—not merely a vacation destination, but a haven where I could retreat from the stress and care of pastoral life.
Our Vision
Refocus Retreat flows out of a profound vision: strengthening Christian pastors and missionaries for better ministry to the people they lead. At its heart, it’s a quiet place where scripture reading and meditation guide the experience.
We provide a self-directed, Christ-centered retreat environment, where God prompts pastors and ministry personnel to feel His presence, discern His will, and follow His leading.
What Makes It Unique
The absence of phones, calendars, to-do lists, and the demands of daily living creates space to rest, reflect, pray, seek God, and remember the reason they entered ministry. There are no classes and no schedules. As you listen and respond, God creates a personalized lesson plan in your heart. Through Scripture, times of solitude, and the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit, head knowledge becomes heart experience.
Accommodations
Guest can stay at no cost in a private efficiency loft for a day or several days.
